Appointments and Payment:

By booking an appointment online, you are agreeing to receive email and/or text reminders regarding appointments. In order to secure an appointment, you will need to have an active credit card or HSA (health savings account card) on file in our electronic health record. We will send you an invoice after the appointment where you will pay. We will not send any marketing or other text or email.

Appointment Times:

Dr. Busch is available for virtual appointments and in person appointments. Appointments will start and end at their scheduled times. In consideration of other patients, sessions cannot be extended for late arrivals, but you will not be turned away as it is your time.

Telepsychiatry/Video Appt:

At the time of your telehealth appointment, please sign in to your patient portal and click on the green camera in your appointment window to be taken to Dr. Busch's virtual waiting room.

Phone and E-mail Communication:

Dr. Busch’s preferred method of communication is via the SimplePractice patient portal for refill requests and simple inquiries. If an inquiry is complex or requires more than 10 minutes of chart review/research, the practice will charge a $50 service fee. If returning emails or phone calls for a particular patient becomes frequent, Dr. Busch may request the patient to increase their frequency of appointments in order to address these issues. We will make every effort to respond to phone calls, emails, and portal messages within 2-3 business days. Thank you.

Forms, documents, and letters:

If you would like to request paperwork to be filled out for accommodations, FMLA, FAMLi, time off from work, or letters in support of academic or work accommodations, please schedule an appointment for this paperwork or letters to be completed at that time. Thank you.

Special Requests:

If you are requesting to have a written excuse for jury duty, a letter for an emotional support animal, or other special requests, it will be important that Dr. Busch has known you for at least six months to make this decision and best recommendation for you. Requests for psychedelic therapies

Prescriptions: 

Rather than call or email the practice prescription refills (the exception is stimulant medications), please call your pharmacy instead. They will notify me, and I will refill your prescriptions, all electronically. Please plan ahead and allow up to 72 hours for refills to be processed.  

In the case of most ADHD medications (all stimulants), you will still need to contact Dr. Busch for additional prescriptions. When calling your pharmacy to see if you have any remaining prescriptions available, do not ask for “refills.” Ask for “remaining prescriptions,” because these medications are not refillable by law. I will send in a new, post-dated prescription for each 30 - day period, and most pharmacies will not fill them earlier than that date; they will only hold on to three post-dated prescriptions.

Refills for medications will not be processed over the weekends.

Please, also have refill requests in by Friday 12pm, if possible.

Office hours and Locations:

Dr. Busch's regular office hours are Tuesday through Friday, 8am-4:00pm for scheduled patient appointments. There will be variable days where Dr. Busch will be on site in either Laramie, WY or Steamboat Springs, CO, and those dates are available in the schedule. Most of the time, she will be on site in Fort Collins, CO.

Cancellation and No - Show Policy:

We require 24 hours’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling of your appointment.  No shows or cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment time will be charged the full service fee to the credit card on file.

Emergencies and weekend concerns:

If you have an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. For less emergent but still urgent concerns, you can also call or text 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
